2017 Starscape Vineyard Gewurztraminer

This wine appears to be sun-kissed in the glass - crystal-clear and light golden, it really shines. Classic aromas of honeysuckle, lychee and orange blossom are in there, but you also get a whole host of other fun aromatics, with Meyer lemon, pomelo and a hint of paraffin lurking in the background. The Starscape vineyard always gives us a gewürz that’s a bit of a contradiction: While it’s incredibly vibrant and lively on the palate, there’s also a wonderful silkiness that softens the wild citrus notes. The long finish shows a bit of lime and wraps up with the fragrance of fresh-cut summer flowers.  (Updated 10.10.2018 - Alan)
