2017 Green Ranch Riesling

Tasting notes:

The 2017 Green Ranch Riesling has honey, lemon curd and citrus-blossom aromas that leap from the glass, with additional notes of white peach and sweet summer dried hay hovering just behind. A classic Riesling aroma of petrol is just starting to show. On the palate, it’s citrus-focused, but also has a nice slate undertone that adds complexity and length to the finish. What we found very intriguing was that for a Riesling with piles of wonderful citrus zing, the mid-palate to finish is very silky. It is, of course, completely dry but not at all austere. And as with all of our Rieslings from Green Ranch, this one will age wonderfully.  (Updated 5.27.23 - Alan)
