2024 Petaluma Gap Pinot Noir
Tasting notes: This wine starts off with a pop! Ripe cherry, mushroom and violets show first on the nose but it is deep and complex bringing forward aromas of earthy loam and a bit of fresh cut wood. As you sit with the wine for a bit, there is a nice Rhubarb aromatic that makes your mouth water. Take a sip you get a big bright splash of red fruit. That bright raspberry on the front of palate is balanced by fine tannins that stretch out the finish and lend an earthy note. We’d suggest pairing it with something that blends rich flavors with savory notes (right now as we taste it, we are dreaming of a BLT). (2.18.26 - Alan)
