2020 Cartograph Estate Rosé of Pinot Noir
This bright refreshing rosé evokes a warm spring day as the first spring bulbs are bursting in the garden. The most prominent aroma is a big basket of fresh peaches with plenty of strawberry and a scent of geranium in the background. There is a certain salinity like a soft ocean breeze also on the nose. As the salmon color might hint, the wine is light and pretty on the palate. It is bright and mouthwatering with plenty of strawberry and tart nectarine dancing on your tongue. There is a bit of grip from the pressed Pinot skins on the finish. This rosé is very flexible when it comes to pairing with food. Match it with something rich of you want to counter the richness with the bright wine, or match it with a citrusy dressing to reinforce the vibrancy.
