2021 Cartograph Estate Pinot Noir
Tasting notes:
This Estate Pinot blend has everything we love about our Russian River Valley estate fruit. Up front it is earthy, savory and almost meaty (like a beautiful broth.) Those subtle notes welcome you to a rich mix of fruit and floral aromas. Notes of blackberry, violets, wild strawberry, and Pennyroyal let you know this wine has a lot going on below the surface aromatics. Blackberry and rich plum welcome this wine onto your palate. There is also a bright orange zest/pomegranate set of flavors that keep the finish long and absolutely mouthwatering. It just feels like this wine has such a solid core that it will continue to unwind for years to come. This wine is going to be super versatile when it comes to pairing with a huge range of foods.
