2019 Perli Vineyard Pinot Noir
TastingnNotes:
The typical dark fruit aromatics that often define Perli are not showing quite yet. I'm guess they will emerge soon as there is a lot of rich fruit on the palate. The dominant aromas are on the earthy side with a twiggy/dry forest floor note that melds with orange zest and a resinous aroma of freshly cut pine. And above all this earthy and sharp action floats a lovely veil of hibiscus flower. Plenty of cherry comes through when you take a sip impressing as more of a Rainier cherry than Bing. This wine is at the very start of its drinking window. Mouth coating tannins add a lot of structure but are also starting to soften so this is wine has great structure and a lush finish. It is very harmonious across the palate. This wine has great aging potential. (Updated 7.31.22 - Alan)
