Tasting notes:

The aromatics alone make this wine worth experiencing. The pale golden color might not prepare you for the fragrant bouquet that spills out of the glass. Bold orange blossom carries with it a hint of paraffin. Ripe aromas of Honeydew melon, lemon, honey, and linalool (Juicy Fruit) are countered by sharp gardenia and pretty sun dried hay. On the palate the citrus stays the focus. The wine is vibrant as it crosses the palate and there is a whole basket of floral aromas that come into bloom on the long finish. (Updated 4.15.19 - Alan)

Terroirist.com: Deep yellow color. A peach explosion on the nose, with lemon-lime, guava, sea salt, and a spiced white tea and white pepper note. Dry, bracing, crisp on the palate, this has a really pleasantly brisk quality with lots of minerals and chalk elements. Peaches, guava and lime mix well with verbena, white pepper and honeysuckle notes. A nuanced, vibrant, complex California Gewurztraminer – that’s not something I’m used to writing! 13.3% alcohol. (90 points IJB) Vinography 9-15-19 2018 Cartograph "Starscape Vineyard" Gewürztraminer, Russian River Valley, Sonoma, California Light greenish gold in color, this wine smells of rose petals and candied orange rinds. In the mouth, crisp, bright flavors of orange rind and rose petal and lemon pith have a nice minerally dryness to them. No trace of sweetness. Just light and aromatic. Very pretty. 13.3% alcohol. Score: around 9.
