2018 Cartograph Estate Pinot Noir
Tasting Notes:
We love how this wine balances sweet and savory aromas. Warm summer forest floor aromatics blend with floral black cherry and bright cranberry with a dark chocolate note hovering in the background. Yep, pretty awesome. The palate is earthy and energetic showing cranberry and the tannins are chaining together and becoming velvety. There is a darker fruit element showing up on the palate, makes us think of a Santa Rosa plum. As might be expected from the Cartograph Estate, this wine is built to age and feels like a youngster right now. Just give it a little air before serving. (Updated 6.17.22 - Alan)
