The 777 clone of Pinot noir offers up a dusty earth note with plentiful ripe, dark cherry and maybe a little blood orange. The earthy components on the nose are cedar and balsa wood. On the palate this wine is mouthwatering with plentiful acid. It has nice structure with bright cherry and red raspberry as well as Santa Rosa plum lingering on the tongue. This is a fruit-focused wine right now but there are some earthy components just under that red fruit surface that should become more prominent with a little age.
