2017 Cartograph Estate 667 Clone Pinot Noir

Tasting Notes:

Aromatically this wine shows dense back cherry, plum, and red currant up front with a background that is mushroom, forest floor and umami. The palate is full but not as big as the dark fruit nose might suggest. Earthy components balance the fruit on the palate to make the mid-palate somewhat chalky and round. The finish evolves through several stages leaving you with a nice coat of mature tannins in your mouth. (Updated 4.15.19 - Alan)
