2016 Transverse Pinot Noir
Tasting Notes:
We hold the Transverse blends back a couple more years than most of our releases to allow the complexities of the blend to harmonize and integrate. Over the past years this wine has shifted aromatically to show a nice mix of dark fruit and baking spices. (Think black cherry and allspice.) The medium palate is a mouthwatering mix of rich cranberry and a baked cherry pie, not sweet but rich. The finish is long and full of energy, showing the acidity that is perfect for a wine that is built to stand the test of time. (Updated 3.19.23 - Alan)
