2015 Upton Vineyard Sangiovese

Tasting Notes:

We feel like we really hit the target with the 2015 Upton vineyard Sangiovese. We love Chianti Classico and this wine falls closer to that model than the typical domestic Sangiovese. Aromas of bright tart cherry, orange blossom, cranberry and a cherry hand pie greet you along with a little whiff of orange zest. The wine is light on the palate with flavors hinting at blood orange, strawberry, and loads of bright cherry. The wine finishes light, crisp, and dry with plentiful fine-grained tannins.  (Updated 11.27.17 - Alan)
