2014 Russian River Valley Pinot Noir
Tasting notes:
The 2014 RRV is still very bright and lively showing bright pie cherry and raspberry. As it ages it has been picking up an aroma of fermented grain that slowly blows off in the glass. The wine, top to bottom, is definitely more earthy than fruity. The palate is round and pleasant with charming hints of violet and is also quite refreshing. The lush blackberry and sarsaparilla flavors are matched with a nice tannin grip that leads from the full palate to a long finish with dried fruit and earthy aromatics evolving during the finish.
