2013 Brut Rosé
Tasting notes:
The base for this wine is the same as the 2013 Brut Zero but we added a small amount of Pinot noir to give it just a touch of pink and a slight dosage at disgorging to craft a sparkling wine with a soft mouth feel and surprisingly different aromatics than its sibling. The tiny, but plentiful, bubbles in this wine carry lightly floral aromas of violets and rose petal as well as a hint of strawberries and cream. There is a slight salinity that shows on the nose and the palate. It is soft and supple on your tongue with stone fruit flavors of apricot and peach. The finish is quite long and evolves to show strawberry and soft citrus notes. This is a perfect wine for celebration, good on its own or pairs beautifully with a wide range of food.
