2015 Russian River Valley Pinot Noir

Tasting notes:

The candied fruit notes that defined this wine when young have evolved to show soft cherry and violets on the nose with aromas of fresh cut cedar and Pennyroyal lending earthy and floral notes. It is vibrant on the palate showing bright cherry and cranberry with a touch of cola. There are also floral hints that come off the palate as well. This wine is incredibly well integrated right now. Gone are the individual fruit and savory characteristics of its youth. Now the wine shows a lovely balance between earth and fruit components that can only be experienced with a Pinot from a great vineyard and from a great year. Subtle and pretty flavors linger on the light but long finish. (Updated 3.1.22 - Alan)
