2021 Gould Family Vineyard Riesling

Tasting notes:

Dry (not sweet). In the glass the Gould 2021 Riesling looks like a sunny summer morning. Pale yellow now, it will deepen to rich yellow tones over the next few years. The nose is showing pretty honeycomb, Bartlett pear, and jasmine notes. There are also spicy notes of pink peppercorn and savory white miso swimming in the glass. On the palate the wine shows tart lemon curd and a fun white melon note (Honeydew?). This Riesling is a journey on the palate. It starts very focused with impressive citrus and then expands to let you swim in a broad midpalate giving up more summer flower notes and then finishing very focused on pretty lemon flavors that take you into the vibrant long finish. Perfect for warm days as well as those holidays with wonderful baking spices floating around the house. (3.14.24 - Alan)
