This 2016 Russian River Valley blend is definitely a fruit and floral driven wine, especially aromatically. There is a whole bucket of cherries in this one. Bing cherry, black cherry, Rainier cherry.... they are all swirling around the glass with notes of orange blossom, violets, and dried leaves. On the palate it is leaner than you might expect. It comes off as a baby Burgundy that is still pretty tightly wound with fresh cut wood and earthy components that show this wine is built to age.
